But it is the two sculptural handles rising from the top shelf that give the Colosseum its unforgettable silhouette — curved, gooseneck forms ending in rounded knobs that sweep upward like the neck of a bottle or the arc of a musical instrument, giving the piece the particular drama of a cart designed to be looked at as much as used.
