Drift Swing

The swing that makes the ceiling part of the design.
India has always known the swing — the jhoola that has hung in courtyards, verandahs, and living rooms for centuries, the piece that carries the particular quality of rest that comes from movement rather than stillness. The Drift Swing was designed in that tradition, and entirely beyond it. Four bold black metal chains suspend a generous cream linen seat from above — the chains becoming as much a part of the design as the swing itself, graphic and dramatic against the ceiling and the wall. A curved arched backrest in deep carob terracotta leatherite rises behind the seat with the same organic embrace that defines the Drift family, three carob throw cushions completing the warm, saturated colour story against the cream. Carob leather straps bind the bolster armrests at each end — the craft detail that connects the Drift Swing to the material language of the collection.
Cream linen gives the seat and armrests the warm, honest texture of a fabric chosen for how it feels through the long afternoon and the slow evening. Carob terracotta gives the backrest and cushions the bold, considered colour of a piece that knows exactly what mood it is creating and commits to it entirely. Black stained metal gives the frame and chains the structural authority of a piece designed to hold the weight of rest with quiet confidence. A swing designed in India, for the home that understands that the most considered rooms are always the ones where at least one piece moves — and gives the room a reason to be still around it.
