A C-form cantilever in white ash wood and matt cream metal slides over the arm of a sofa or beside the bed — the top surface appearing to float without a front leg, the ash top and circular base connected by a cream metal frame that is as considered in its geometry as it is in its colour. Within the frame, a rounded ash wood panel hangs vertically — a tablet holder, a magazine rest, a place for the book that should always be within reach — lit from within by a warm LED strip that turns the holder into the most considered reading light in the room.
White ash carries the warmth and fine grain of honest timber across every visible surface — the top, the holder panel, and the circular base disc sharing the same consistent warmth. Matt cream metal ties the C-form together with the quiet neutrality of a finish chosen to complement rather than compete with the ash.
