Liora Chair

The backrest that twists. The table that remembers it.
There are dining chairs where the backrest is simply support and there are dining chairs where the backrest is the entire design — where the detail between the seat and the top rail carries so much considered craft intention that the chair becomes worth looking at from across the room before anyone has sat in it. The Liora was designed for that second kind of presence. Dead black leatherite straps span between the horizontal backrest rail and the seat rail — each one twisted at its centre in a precise, considered turn that creates a fan of X-forms across the back, the flat strap becoming a twisted ribbon that catches the light differently at every angle. Tan cord wrapping at each end of the backrest rail celebrates the junction of strap and metal with the same binding craft that runs through the broader Mohh design language.
White ash wood appears as a thin seat rail — the warm, natural timber visible as a considered band between the sand linen cushion above and the matt black metal legs below, the material junction that ties the warmth of the upholstery to the precision of the frame. Sand linen gives the seat the comfort and honest texture of a fabric chosen for the long meal and the unhurried evening. Dead black metal and dead black leatherite create a unified dark composition that makes the white ash and sand linen appear more luminous by contrast.
