The Loop Nesting Table 2 was designed for the second kind of relationship. Two rounded rectangular tops in wood — the grain of the timber visible beneath the darkness, warm despite the depth of the stain — sit on single continuous loops of brushed metal tube that rise from circular disc bases in one uninterrupted gesture. The loop is the entire design — a single metal tube bent into a rounded rectangular form that holds the top, grounds the base, and gives the piece the sculptural confidence of a frame that was conceived as one continuous thought.
