There are bar carts that serve the gathering and there are bar carts that arrive at it — that wheel into the room with such considered design presence that the evening reorganises itself around them before the first drink is poured. The Ralf was designed to arrive. Three wooden shelves sit within a warm metal frame where continuous curved rails loop around each tier in graceful arcs — keeping the bottles and glasses secure while giving the cart the particular visual rhythm of a piece where the frame is as much the design as the shelves it holds. Two large disc wheels at the rear give the Ralf its most distinctive silhouette — bold, graphic, and entirely confident in the statement they make about a cart that was designed to be seen moving as much as standing still.
Wood and metal find their balance in a material pairing that carries both warmth and authority — the grain of the timber visible beneath the darkness of the stain, the nickel frame giving the curved rails a considered luminosity against the deep shelves. A black cylindrical handle at the top right gives the cart the easy, directional grip of a piece designed to follow the gathering wherever the evening leads.
